Isn’t it hard to avoid using plastic? Nowadays nearly everything comes in plastic! Needless to say that I always bring a reusable tote bag when I go shopping but when it comes to loose vegetables and fruits from the store and market, I had to catch myself again and again using those little transparent plastic bags! Arrg! Well, I wouldn’t have called this post “No more wasting plastic bags” if I didn’t find a solution to this, so here is what I found.

I found these great produce bags on Etsy! They are reusable, long lasting and what I also love about them is that they are so light and transparent, so I don’t have to unload them at the cashier.

I’ve been shopping with them for a while now and I just love them! A great side effect is that people always comment when they see them, which gives me the chance to mention that I try to waste less plastic to be more environmentally friendly and thus, spread a bit of eco awareness. Now, do I sound like a happy shopper or what? 😉
The bags are made by the very friendly Etsy seller Kara K and are sold over her Etsy Shop LoveForEarth. They come in different sizes and colors and you can also custumize your order. She made my set with pink and black ribbons and it looks great!
